Meeting starts
CB: Thanks those present for coming and proposes skipping straight to item 3 on the agenda, unless anybody present has anything they want to add.
*No objections from the committee or Jesuans in attendance*
Ordinary Motions
a) Budget 2013-2014
CB: Invites RH to propose the motion.
RH: Explains that all societies’ budget requests were approved, with the exception of the Jewish Society’s celebrations budget of £500, which was cut to £200. The Diogene Film Society is still in the process of finalising its budget request and is therefore not in the current draft of the budget, but is set to receive £125.
CB: Recommends that, in the absence of any queries or concerns, the motion is put to a vote.
*There are no questions*
*There are no objections to the motion*
*The OGM votes unanimously to support the motion – Motion Passed*
b) CUSU Sexual Health Scheme Launch
CB: Invites LH to propose the motion.
LH: Explains that CUSU is changing its method of supply of sexual health welfare. Condoms are no longer going to be bought by colleges, but given to colleges for free as long as they meet the code of practice, to which Jesus College already largely conforms. CUSU-led training of the college welfare officers is a condition which will have to be met by next year’s JCSU. No radical changes will be needed and the new system will free up some of the welfare budget.
CB: Recommends once more that, in the absence of any queries or concerns, the motion is put to a vote.
*There are no questions*
*There are no objections to the motion*
*The OGM votes unanimously to support the motion – Motion Passed*
Emergency Motions
*There are no emergency motions*
Any Other Business
Julian Cohen offers a question from the floor, asking whether he and Katherine Lee could run for the office of International and Racial Equalities Officer together.
CB: Asks Julian and Katherine to speak with him afterwards.
LH: Recommends that anybody in the audience thinking of running for next year’s JCSU Committee ask the person in the relevant position once the meeting ends.
